Today is Sunday, I'm just lying around. I finished the DaVinci Code. I'm gonna send it home with my parents to give to your mom Diane. I feel horrible I've had it do long. I also have that Daddy's Girl book I should be starting. Also sad. I will understand if your mom wants it back ASAP.
Emily, woman- I know you like older men but to a certain extent you should probably realize that those guys are closer to the age where they will want to settle down and get married and stuff. Kick it with some younger party animals first if that's what you want. And don't go back to Chuck just because he's in love with you. If you're not sure, then it is obviously bothering you, but I think your first instinct of becoming single in that case was probably for the best, because giving up on your chances for law school if you think long distance sucks (and you would know) is definitely not worth it it sounds like.
All that stuff sounds like it would be really good on your resume. I'm proud of ya girl! Way to go.
I met this guy that the Argus, Brian, and he is simply, amazing. Amazing-ly strange that is. On first sight, he's pretty hot and hilariously funny. But he has a gf, so don't get me wrong, that's not why he's amazing. He's 24. In high school he wrote a story on the top 10 bars for minors, which was an investigative report on the bars that are easiest to get into, with or without a fake. He uncovered some shit and almost caused several lawsuits. And that story is the reason the Argus hired him. Before he even graduated college he knew he already had a job at the Argus.
He has all these other ideas, like putting himself out on the streets and living like a bum for a week, to give people an insider's look on hobo life. Another one was checking into a bad neighborhood apartment complex for a month, having the paper pay only rent, and report on what living conditions and lifestyle is like for these people. Participatory journalism. The paper won't exactly let him do all that, so he's thinking about freelancing some of his stuff to magazines. And he's 24. He'a crazy to boot, he used to do extremem skating (board and blade) and has probably almost killed himself 30 times or so. He's a rush to hang out with, and I couldn't believe until the other night that journalism could get my adrenaline going so much. Maybe it's more him and his fast paced stories and shit, but the guy seems to have it all together where he needs it. He went to school to be a cop or something then he changed his major and so now he covers all the hard crime stuff. Interesting huh? He also understands how it is to be young, and is a big help when we interns want to do something a little more than the normal assignments we get on a whim.
Ok my rant is finished. Nice Rachelowe.
