Well, right now I'm suppose to be at a wedding, curtis' twin sister's wedding that is. But I am not, because I ended our relationship last night. So in doing so he drove me back home round 1 in the morning from Carrollton. I was really depressed last night, esp since I drank, but now I'm much better. When you meet someone's whole family and some friends, you really see that person for what they are, and he was an ass needless to say. I'm kinda sad things didn't work out, but its for the better. I'm gettin kinda good at this whole breaking up thing and coping with it, I guess I just wasn't 'in love' as I thought I was. Well "I guess this is growing up".
I talked to my mom today for about an hour after I woke up, I don't ever talk to my mom. Very strange. Anywho, she thinks Curtis is gay/bi/or bi curious. Which now, after someone has planted that idea in my brain, its like opening a new door, and I now see those things. So I'm kinda curious if he really is or not. I know that is horrible to say about someone, but now its kinda obvious. Here is a list (and sorry if I am stereotyping gay men) :
1) He really enjoys shopping (like really!)
2) He buys most of his clothes from a) Express for Men b) Banana Republic c) The Gap
3) He is really, really, really like a girl when he shops ex: He has me go find him different sizes while he looks at different clothes, nothing looks good on him, and my favorite "no, you can't go look at clothes cuz I need u to tell me if it looks good, matches, and if you like it" Going shopping w/your boyfriend is suppose to be fun, I HATED IT (& u guys know how much I like shopping), I felt like the man in the relationship who dreds shopping with his girlfriend
4) He was overly excited about Bessingers (candy place at Galaria (sp?)) having chocolate covered blackberries (which they only have in a seasonal thing, which he knew about, & they are like $35 a pound)
5) He told me once he loves candles, and candle light, and he told me that in his old house he had candles everywhere, and he'd rather go by candle light than a light bulb
6) He totally set this dinner up to take my dad out for retirement and my godfather since he got me money for my car accident. It was at a place called Morton's in Clayton, we went there once before and he knows the manager. When we went there before we had a couple of drinks at the bar and the manager brought us 2 apps, which we didn't order (kinda strange) BUT we got the bill and it was like over $50, and the manager told us not to worry about it, it was on the house. Well, Curtis told me before that he did some work from him (i'm assuming on the internet since that is what he does) so I didn't think too much about it, but still even stranger. Also, Curtis told me that we could go there sometime and dinner would also be on the house. OK, so we arranged for the six of us to eat dinner there one night, the manager told us to bring our own wine with dinner so we didn't have to pay their overpriced bill. strange. so we did. We went and ate a ton of expensive fancy food, and we had like a butt ton of waiters and the manager waiting on us, it was freakin crzy, I've been to really nice resturants, some nicer than that, and have NEVER EVER had that happen before. They even brought us doubles of some stuff we ordered. So, we never even got the bill and we were gonna leave a tip, Curtis went and asked the manager how much the bill would have been so we could leave a tip, supposedly the dinner was over $500!! That is really freakin weird and strange at the same time...... So I wonder what he "really" did for this guy ( he seemed kinda like he had the hots for curtis) since curtis wont tell me exactly why we had this nice fancy dinner FOR FREE!
7) When we first went and ate dinner with my parents he ordered a glass of (bear with me, don't know how to spell it) Chardonay, which is a white wine that women normally order.
8) When we went to NC he brought 'wet wipes' because he said when we eat dorritos in the car we will have something to wipe our hands on, he said he thinks of these things cuz he has a daughter (well, i'm not his daughter and he is a man..... a 'normal' guy would probably lick his fingers, wipe it on a pant leg... hell thats what I do... back for the bottom of the pant leg, right Cory?)
9) He loves 80s music.... like really loves...... and he kinda dances kinda gay in the car when he hears an 80s song he really likes
10) he plucks his eyebrows.... i don't think he'd have a unibrow... but that is where he 'plucks'
11) He didn't even try to get me to stay in Carrollton, or change my mind about breaking up with him ( i don't really think that makes him gay, but damn, if u love me as much as u say you do, then after our first fight, u'd try to make up, or make things better not drive me home after u've been drinking from Carrollton @ 1am
12) He'd have me open his cans of beer, isn't it suppose to be the other way around? He said he didn't have fingernails to get under the tab and it hurt his fingers
13) He can dress... man can he dress....
.... more later ....... tell me what you guys think .......

Labor Day Schmabor Day
This weekend I went home. I relaxitated Friday night until I played a little sand volleyball with Dan and hung out with his APO friends in Edwardsville. So much for not driving much and saving gas.
Saturday I went to church with the parents, sat at DQ, came home, rented Pretty in Pink, went across the river for gas to drive home, and that's about it.
Sunday we (mom, dad, me) attempted to hit up the St. Louis Zoo, except it was hot so we gave up after not too long and went to the Landing. We had a beer at Morgan Street then at Trainwreck. It was fun.
Then I took an hour nap, watched Forrest Gump and came back to EIU. All in all I guess it was a good weekend. But I'm back to Verging it out, and kicking it on 12th Street.
I feel bad sometimes when Matt calls and I have other things going on. I really would like to just stop it all just to talk to him for a half hour, but that can't always be done. He's coming down Thursday- great example- he'll get here around 11, I have class from 12:30- 3:15, I MIGHT get to hang out with him for a little bit then sorority stuff probably starts around 5:30 (rush) and lasts till 9:30 or so. Then we can chill out and watch a movie before he leaves Friday to go home for a bachelor party. It's okay though, I'm happy as long as I can see him for that period of time. While I'm at class and ASA, he will be having lunch with the president of the university, Lou Hencken (Matt is a very important person. People know him. He has many leather bound books and his apartment smells of rich mahogany)... and then he'll be hanging out with Stephen Haas- who is back in Charelston this week!! YAY THE STEPHEN!
K me and Erin Miller have homework to be doing. Look Rachelowe, another person is called by their first and last name. But its because the other Aaron is a boy, and it's still 2 words. Rachelowe.

Come and knock on our door....
Check it out, this is what my roommate wrote about me and Erin (the girl roomies) for the Verge tomorrow. It already went to print, but it's not online yet and I'm impatient.

Sometimes I feel like John Ritter. No, no, not dead. I feel like him in the aspect that I am trying to grapple with the fact that I live with two girls. And it is strange, to be sure.
I grew up in a house with three generations of women, my mother, sister and niece. That being said, living with women is not completely unfamiliar to me. However, living with two girls in their early 20’s is like being spun around in circles and made to walk a line: confusing, disorienting and even a bit nauseating.
I would like to think of myself as a fairly enlightened individual, but nothing on this Earth can prepare a young man for the first time he walks into the bathroom to take a nice, innocent shower and finds panties on the floor, hair in the drain and, Lord help me, female hygienic devices waiting for him next to the toilet.
And I can only dread what it will be like once the two of them begin to menstruate in unison. I can see it now—I will walk through the door and a sudden shiver runs up my spine. Then I realize that I left the toilet seat up and prepare for the scolding that will ensue. And might I add, if you fail to do the dishes and you live with two women, they will let you hear about it at great length every time they get the chance.
But it isn’t all bad. It’s merely a learning experience. Being a young man living with young women is just a bit of sexual culture shock. You can’t get away with the same jokes as you can with a male roommate, expelling gas for entertainment purposes loses a bit in translation to women and walking around in your boxers is a bit unnerving at first.
It could always be much worse. I could be in their shoes having to put up with me.

DIANE
DUDE. YOU SHOULD a-go to Fright Fest with us this year whenever that happens. AND b- come visit for homecoming!! don't you miss college? tons of frat/DEN parties to go to!
I'm not very exciting today. I bitched about gas prices for the paper tomorrow. Read it.

Those are some great New York boobs
Ok well I feel a little bit better about things today. I know I'm making the best possible decision for myself right now. Mike and I are going to stay together then hopefully once he graduates in December he might be moving up to be with me. We only talked about it a little bit. You guys are probably like omg thats crazy but y'all don't understand. I love him sooo much. I've never felt this way about anyone. I'll put it like this, y'all know how when I get into a relationship I'm like "No kids. No marriage. No nothing," I don't feel that way with him. I can actually see myself having a future with all the stuff in it. We are really good together. I can trust him to go out without me. We actually spend time apart instead of being attached to the hip. If we get into an arguement and get mad at each other we just look at each other and make one another smile. Whatever we were mad about doesn't matter. I don't think there is anyone more perfect for me. Well thats it. I was going to try to come home in a week or two but can't b/c Angie and Chris are going home at the end of sept so I have to watch the dogs. So I'll be returning to A-town the first or second week of October. Just in time for Halloween!

Mama I'm coming home...
Diane, I am so sorry to hear things aren't the best for you right now. Think about it this way. You don't have to be in Alton for the rest of your life. You can go home and save up some cash to get out. You're only 21. And you'll be great in whatever you end up doing.
What I DON'T wanna be is like April and Matt... because it's taking them forever to get used to living in crazy places all types of alone and wishing they were back in college. Come the end of the fall semester, I'm making JR help me get a job opportunity near home. So I can live there and make some money then move away.
The Verge #2 is in progress.
I'm coming home this weekend! I don't know when other than that I will get a chance to. It's going to be a busy year. I think I'll come home once more this semester for Fright Fest, and other than that- for the rest of the year- I'm only coming home for holidays.
I love Eastern and I'll miss it when it's gone. And so I'm making the best of it now.
MUY IMPORTANTE:
My roommate wrote a column about living with chicks- and it's HILARIOUS. ON FRIDAY--- check www.thedailyeasternnews.com (link on the side of this blog page) for

by David Thill and Megan Jurinek
Megan wrote the same column only about living with guys. It is kinda sweet- but Thill's was funny. K gtg!

This is the song that doesn't end
Well last night I had a horrible night. Angie and Chris sat me down and wanted to know my plans and goals. They didn't come right out and say they wanted me to move out but thats basically what I took it as. So I started trying to figured out what I wanted to do the most. #1-Travel around the world, but since I'm not rich as hell and can just do stuff like that #2-Go back to school. I thought about going back to school here but I didn't get my stuff in on time. So I was working at an apt this past few months but still don't have enough money for that. So I figured in my best interest and even though its not exactly what I want to do, b/c I can't stay for Mike/friends (even though I love him dearly and is the best person I have). IT LOOKS LIKE I'LL BE MOVING HOME. I don't know if I really want that since everytime I say it, it makes me ball, but there is nothing else I can do. I can't stay here and afford an apt/car and go to school. At least if I go home I can save up my money and have all those things. It just sucks b/c I'll be losing one of the most important things in my life to get all this. And althought its not worth it. Its in my best interest. Another thing that I'm not too thrilled about...everytime something goes wrong I pack up and move away. I don't want that to happen for the rest of my life. I'm also afraid of staying in Alton for the rest of my life. I mean I love it to death but thats not where I want to be or raise a family if that should ever happen. Well I guess thats it. If I end up moving home and it basically a 95% chance I am it will be in about 2 weeks.
